The Power of Hard Work

The Power of Hard Work So you want success, huh? How badly do you want it? Do you really want it or just “kind of” want it? The reason I ask is because everyone says they want to be successful but very few are willing to do what is necessary to achieve it. So if you’re one of the few who is brave enough to be successful…read on. If not, go back to the beginning of this blog and read this first paragraph again until you want success bad enough…and I will teach you the secret of success.

Kerja keras adalah energi kita. So, you chose to read on…good choice. Clearly you think you are willing to do what needs to be done to become successful. If you are going to work, you might as well work hard and be successful. So why not spend your time on successful efforts.

And that is the real secret. Success comes from effort. It’s really that simple. Think about it…whatever you do you will have some level of success. And the longer you do your “job”, the more success you will have (theoretically). Therefore, the longer you “work” the more successful you will become. It’s all about time…and most people aren’t willing to put in the time. That’s the secret.

Studies show that the average person only “works” 4 hours a day. At that rate it will take you X number of days to become successful (and when I say work, I mean actually doing something that is beneficial to the bottom line of your business, from book work to networking). If you work 8 hours a day you will become successful twice as fast. How about if you work 10 hours a day? Twelve hours a day? Okay…lets not get crazy now…gotta have a social life!

But think about it…the more time you put in the quicker you will experience success. The very successful owner of Cog Hill golf course in suburban Chicago once stated out loud “I always figured if I work eight hours a day, I’ll make one man’s pay. If I worked 16 hours a day, you make two. The harder I worked the luckier I got.”

So decide how quickly you want to become successful and do the work necessary to achieve that success.

And one final thought…eat lunch at your desk. Unless you are having a true business lunch…and I don’t mean going out with your friends talking about your business…you should be eating at your desk working on or plotting your next move.

Be aware…the top performers in any business spend a lot of time working…so stop complaining, wipe your nose and get to work. Spending money is fun.

Enough said.
